Prue Leith has landed a new Channel 4 garden show. Prue’s Great Garden Plot, in which she and her husband John Playfair will embark on a new gardening adventure.
After saying goodbye to her nearly 50-year-old home, the four-part series Prue and John follows as they shrink into a modern barn that they designed together. Determined to complete the two acre garden in just 12 months, the couple in the series will tackle tons of trash, rubble, rusting buildings, and overgrown vegetation to create the plot of their dreams.
In the four episodes, The Great British Bake Off’s Prue takes inspiration from some of the best private gardens in the country as she delves into designing, digging, and planting the garden of her dreams. As the garden takes shape, the series offers tips easily accessible to anyone in need of inspiration.
“I’m not a Monty Don, but I’ve been gardening for 45 years and just love it,” says Prue. “But this garden has to be managed by two oldies who don’t feel like kneeling, bending over or hobbling heavy things. So a robot for the lawn, troughs for the vegetables and pots on the terrace. And a couple of disasters! ‘

Prue and John – who married in 2016 – lived in separate houses for 10 years of their relationship, from which they were married for five years. As the couple design their dream home and finally live together, we can’t wait to see the end result.
Emma Read, Executive Producer of Emporium Productions, comments: “For all viewers who love their garden or dream of creating one, Prue and John’s new garden adventure alike will offer tons of colorful inspiration and know-how and we are very excited to to be it. ” share with them. ‘
Prue’s Great Garden Plot will air on Channel 4 later this year.
