Gardening: Spring Is Right here And Cicadas Are Coming

Spring is officially here and with it the temperatures are warmer and more daylight.

But something else is on the way: cicadas.

The 17-year-old brood is expected to emerge from the ground and later in spring to conquer the region in swarms for the first time since 2004.

So it’s time to get your hands dirty in the garden, but what should you know about cicadas and their possible effects?
