UPDATE: Uncle Kentang announced on his Facebook page that he is no longer involved in the fundraiser for the Ampang family, who live in a house on the verge of collapse. He added, “As for the donations you have already made, we will move on to other charitable issues. Please forgive me for the inconvenience this caused. “

Kuan Chee Heng, better known as Uncle Kentang, visited his Facebook profile to introduce a poor family living in a house on the verge of collapse in Ampang.

He wrote: “A family in danger. In Kampung Baru Ampang, a poor family lives in danger every day. The father had a stroke. The mother works as a helper in an Ampang Yong Tau Foo restaurant to support her family. The house was almost eaten by termites. No money to fix. There are leaks everywhere. “

They sent a team of drones to get an aerial view of the house and estimated the repairs to total RM 135,000.

“Can we help donate and build the house? If so, I will set up a fund to help the family. They have a bright, 13 year old son who is studying in SMK Kosas, Ampang. I worry that anytime the house will collapse and the whole family will be killed. “

“The family cannot repair the house themselves because the father is a stroke patient. He can hardly walk. They own this piece of house and an old bike that mom rides to the Yong Tau Foo store to do a dishwasher, ”he added.
