Bed bugs live up to their name by preferring to hang out around beds. There, sleeping people present themselves to the nocturnal, blood-sucking pests as a midnight snack. Beds aren’t the only places they hang out, however. They can be found around the seams and labels of a mattress and box spring, in the cracks of a bed frame, and in a headboard. As the infestation grows, they will venture beyond the bed and adjacent areas. You can find them in chairs and sofas, curtains, furniture joints, in electrical outlets and appliances, under loose wallpaper and wall hangings, and at the junction of walls and ceilings.
