A woman in Michigan accidentally set herself on fire trying to kill a bed bug infestation she found in her car.
The unidentified 31-year-old woman found the blood-sucking insect in her car on Tuesday and suffered a panic attack. At that point, she decided to set the vehicle on fire with rubbing alcoholreported the New York Post.
However, during the flaring, she accidentally set herself on fire, the report said.
Deputies and firefighters rushed to the scene shortly afterwards and put out the fire, according to The Detroit News.
The woman is said to have suffered second degree burns in the incident. she was Taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital for treatment for her injuries.
The incident occurred in the Detroit suburb of Pontiac.
Bed bugs can be found in bedding and mattresses, as well as in personal items such as jackets, purses, and luggage.
