A popular exterminator on TikTok said in a viral video that a customer of his tried to donate bed bug-infested furniture to ignorant recipients.

The TikTok was released on August 27th by Weston Storey, also known as @ExterminatorKing on TikTok, and has since received 344,000 views.

“Throw the shit in the parking lot,” Storey recalls when telling members of a church they were picking up the furniture to give to a single mother. “You don’t want any of this.”

In the TikTok video, Storey says that he usually suggests a dumpster service to his customers to collect the infected furniture from their home. Instead, he remembers that the customer said “Fuck it” and decided to donate the stuff.

Storey continues to reveal how contaminated the items are – complete with images that are not for the faint of heart.

He said he planned to speak to the customer about donating the furniture.

“I’m going to blow this place on everything,” says Storey. It’s a hell of a horrible thing. ”

Storey emailed the Daily Dot that many of its other customers are trying to donate or even sell infected furniture.

He also warned viewers that infected items are sometimes donated to the Goodwill and Salvation Army. “Donate places because they will receive a small tax exemption for the donation”, regardless of whether the items can be donated safely or not.

“This is why so many Goodwill, the Salvation Army and other major nonprofits in many states are not even picking up furniture,” Storey told the Daily Dot. “Because bed bugs are such a big problem.”

Storey told the Daily Dot that if he catches a customer trying to donate or sell infected items, he’ll confront them and do his best to “prevent it.”

“A lot of people just don’t know about bed bugs and assume the problem isn’t that bad,” Storey told the Daily Dot. “Or they think a can of raid will fix it.”
