HOUSTON – Gardening at home is a great activity for parents who interact with their children. Urban Harvest now offers back-to-school grow kits that teach students, children, and adults how to grow seasonal herbs and vegetables from seeds and transplants.
The grow kit includes a 5 gallon grow bag, Farm Dirt soil, custom plant labels, two seasonal plant starts, Basil and Dino Kale, flower seeds, Microlife fertilizer, and detailed instructions for the gardener.
Each kit is $ 20, and there is also a “Buy One, Give One” option for $ 35. When supporters purchase a grow kit, another kit will be donated to students at Kashmere Gardens Elementary School.
Note that kits must be pre-ordered on the website by 5:00 p.m. Thursday prior to Saturday pick-up.
