Worksop care house residents flip their palms to gardening due to heat climate

The employees and residents of Greenacres Grange have been busy planning a redesigned garden area for the winter.

Kenneth Hall is a resident who has always been an avid gardener and as part of the project, Greenacres Grange staff are helping him get back to his favorite hobby.

Kenneth, 77, said, “I’ve enjoyed all of the things we’ve done in the garden so far and I look forward to seeing the garden finished and looking amazing.”

A vegetable and herb garden, a sensory area with a bird feeder and a flower garden are planned for the outside area.

Manager Anita Cooper said: “We are very proud of everyone involved in the project.

“Greenacres Grange people are dedicated and it is this type of work that enriches the lives of the people we support.”
