West Indian drywood termites receive marching orders from two historic Maryborough buildings.
A specialized fumigation will be conducted at the Gatakers Warehouse at 311 Kent Street and the Heritage Center at 164 Richmond Street and is expected to be completed by March 15th.
Termite eradication will pave the way for the Fraser Coast Regional Council to begin work on the Gatakers Creative Space project, which will complement existing activities at Gatakers Artspace.
The project offers more space for prints, drawings and ceramics, as well as a small shop front where artist works can be sold.
