As more Americans travel again, they need to watch out for small hitchhikers. Bed bugs have been known to catch passengers traveling to different areas of the United States to infest furniture, beds and living quarters. Worse, they feed on human blood with the potential to make your skin super itchy.
To give you an idea of where bed bugs are prevalent, Orkin has revealed the worst US cities of 2023 for these pests. The company states, “The list is based on treatment data from the metro areas where Orkin performed the most bed bug treatments from December 1, 2021 to November 30, 2022. The ranking includes both home and commercial treatments.”
According to the data, one popular Washington state city made the list: Seattle. At number 39, it’s actually jumped five places from where it was on last year’s list.
