Melbourne is in the middle of a plague.
Pest control companies have been flooded with calls as the temperature warmed up this week.
The Leader reports that some pest controllers have four-week waiting lists due to increasing demand.
According to Alex Kristic of Kritter Getters Pest Control, demand has skyrocketed.
“We’re very busy right now,” he told Neil Mitchell.
“It was a very unusual season.
“We get a lot of rodent work, a lot of insect work, lots and lots of spiders, birds, snakes.”
Mr Kristic says he thinks the weather is behind the plague.
“I think the unusual weather we’re getting … probably contributes to that,” he said.
