Even the most dedicated gardener can occasionally forget to water their plants. Going on vacation can also make watering plants difficult, especially if you don’t have someone to come over to your home and water them for you. There are a variety of ways that you can water your plants without having to do it manually.

With a heat wave hit the UK today, many gardeners may be concerned about how often to water their plants.

If you have an irrigation system, Chris recommends setting a timer twice a day.

He said, “I would have it early in the morning and in the evening.

“Maybe if it comes on at 8 a.m. and then 8 p.m. for half an hour or an hour, depending on how hot the weather is.

They lose moisture through evaporation.

Put your potted plants in the shade and water them more regularly than usual.

It’s okay to use cold tap water on your plants.

Keep an eye on plants that like shade and are used to cooler, wetter conditions as they could struggle with it.
