Free gardening course: home irrigation system
The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County (MGHC), in partnership with the University of Tennessee Extension, are continuing their third free public gardening course online on Saturday via Zoom. The next course will take place on Saturday, June 19th at 10:00 am “Installing a Home Irrigation System”, presented by Master Gardener Diane Shelly. The zoom link to access this public class is available on the MGHC website: https://mghc.org/public-classes/.
Master Gardener Diane Shelly comments, “Are you planning a trip and are you afraid of watering your garden? It is possible to create a microjet irrigation system from your hose nozzle. I have successfully installed microjet systems with time switches in my four different home gardens. This easy-to-create system includes a battery operated clock and a variety of spray heads that can be customized to meet specific needs. My presentation also has a YouTube video for you to refer to when building your own irrigation system. Come with me and learn how to water your garden during the hot, dry summer months! “
