A horrific video that went viral shows millions of mayflies covering a gas station in the United States, covering doors and windows. The video reached 11 million views.
A Tiktok user @ _ty.leo uploaded the video this week showing the insect-strewn garage.
The Tiktoker has added a subtitle to the video, which says: “I’ve never seen so many bugs in my life!
The station is completely covered by the flying insects that cover almost every inch of the room.
The filmmaker opens the door of the supermarket at the gas station and shows millions of bugs covering the doors.
Inside the store, the horrific footage shows mayflies clinging to people’s clothes and floating around in the air.
When he goes back outside, hordes of bugs fly around the fluorescent lights above the insect-covered gas pump.
A young child swings his arms to scare away the bugs while legions of flies cover the ground it stands on.
The scary video received thousands of comments.
One user asked, “How do these people go around like nothing is wrong?”
“I wouldn’t even leave my house,” said another.
Mayflies are a common sight around Alabama Lakes, including Weiss Lake, in the summer.
