Phoenix, Arizona-based Contractors Termite & Pest Control is merging with Northwest Exterminating, an Anticimex company, of Tucson, Arizona, to form the largest pest control agency in Arizona.

Northwest Exterminating has over 30 years of experience prior to becoming an Anticimex company in 2020. This is the first acquisition that will expand the company’s reach in the Arizona communities.

“Northwest and Contractor’s have a long history of professional respect and friendship,” said Dena Berg-Castaño, president of Northwest Exterminating. “The similarities between our two companies, starting termite services prior to construction and an emphasis on providing quality work, just made sense. We are very excited to welcome the team members to the Northwest and Anticimex families. “

Contractors Termite & Pest Control owner Kevin Etheridge said the merger is a sensible move to secure the future of Contractors Termite & Pest Control and its employees.

“Northwest and Contractors have been friends and mentors for years,” said Etheridge. “We share the same Pretreat platform, so I’m delighted that Northwest and Anticimex will take over the helm in the future.”

Contractors Termite & Pest Control owner Kevin Etheridge began his pest control business in 1972. In 1983, Etheridge founded Contracts Termite & Pest Control in Brea, California. Etheridge moved to Arizona in 1994 and was able to move the company to the Phoenix subway station.

Contractor Termite & Pest Control offers pest control and pre-treatment services for residential buildings for housing associations.

The terms of the merger were not disclosed, but LR Tullius represented and acted as exclusive financial advisor to Contractor’s Termite & Pest Control on the transaction.
