BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Blaze Pizza at 20522 South State Road 7 in West Boca Raton has a problem with flying insects, at least according to an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Code .

The inspector recommended an “administrative complaint” for the restaurant after documenting this on May 23, 2022:

“High Priority – Live, small flying insects in the kitchen, food prep area, food storage area and/or bar area. Observed 5 live small flying insects landing on stacked pizza boxes behind front counter/cooking line. Observed approximately 2 live small flying insects on the batter mixer in the batter preparation area that did not land in the leftmost front counter/cooking line area. **Admin Complaint**”

The inspector returned May 24 and found no violations, according to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.

Blaze Pizza was never ordered to close due to the violations. Open for only a few years, the restaurant had never had a bad inspection prior to FL DBPR’s May 23 visit.
