Social media personality Andrew Tate has criticized his incarceration, telling fans his prison cell is infested with cockroaches, lice and bed bugs.

Tate was arrested in Bucharest on December 29, while his brother Tristan and two Romanian women were also arrested.

On January 10, a court upheld a judge’s December 30 decision to extend their detention from 24 hours to 30 days. You have denied all allegations.

Authorities in Romania also confiscated several of the former kickboxer’s luxury cars at his Bucharest estate.

In an email to his fans – his first since his incarceration – Tate said: “You’re trying to break me. Thrown into a cell with no light. Cockroaches, lice and bed bugs are my only friends at night.

“When the guards escort me to and from the courtroom, I remain absolutely respectful. They’re trying to pour hate into my heart.”

A former world kickboxing champion, he has amassed millions of followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.

Despite being in prison, Tate has remained active online, posting his email address online so he can receive messages from his followers. It is not known if the content posted on his account is by him or someone on his behalf.

Tate, his brother and the other two suspects remain in custody until February 27.
