Andrew Tate Complains His Prison Cell Has “Cockroaches, Lice And Bed Bugs”

Andrew Tate’s detention has been extended to February 27.

Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate, jailed in Romania for human trafficking, has complained about the “inhuman” conditions he is living in in prison, according to a Newsweek report. In an email sent to his followers on his website, Tate stressed that his jail cell “has no lights” and the dismal conditions include “cockroaches, lice and bed bugs.” The former kickboxer was arrested last month on charges of creating an organized crime group to exploit women.

“I will send you my daily lessons from unjust imprisonment. They try to break me Thrown into a cell with no light. Roaches, lice and bed bugs are my only friends at night,” Tate wrote in the email, according to Newsweek.

“When the guards escort me to and from the courtroom, I remain absolutely respectful. They try to pour hate into my heart. But please and thank you, stay with me at all times. My jailers are just doing their jobs, they have families to feed,” he said.

In the message, titled “My first email from prison,” Tate said those things weren’t breaking him.

“In difficult times, don’t forget your manners. They try to break my iron mind with unjust imprisonment.

Tate’s brother Tristan and two other Romanian nationals were arrested with him on December 29. They were initially sentenced to 30 days in prison, but this was extended to February 27 by a court last week.

Prosecutors said the Tate brothers recruited their victims by seducing them and falsely claiming they wanted a relationship or marriage.

The victims were then taken to properties on the outskirts of the capital, Bucharest, and sexually exploited through physical violence and mental intimidation, forcing them to produce pornographic content for social media sites that generated large financial gains, prosecutors said.

But Tate has denied all allegations. “You know we didn’t do anything wrong. This file is completely empty. Of course it’s unfair, unfortunately there is no justice in Romania,” the influencer told reporters yesterday when he was brought in for further questioning by organized crime prosecutors.

When asked if he’d hurt women, Tate said, “Of course not.”

Romanian authorities have also confiscated several luxury cars from Tate’s mansion on the outskirts of the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
