  1. On Friday night, A Metro Blue Line train struck an adult man at 1657 East Slauson Avenue. “Firefighters worked to quickly pull the patient off the tracks (no technical rescue or extrication required)” and took him to a trauma center. Last we heard he was in critical condition. (Los Angeles Fire Department)
  2. Caltrans published his early list of storm-related road closures Saturday morning. These include the SB I-5 connector to the SB I-110 as well as the SB I-5 connector on the Boyle Heights interchange. Crews have been working to clean up after mudslides at both sites. Officials urge local residents to contact them before taking to the streets. (Caltrans District 7)
  3. Do you know the JOEY Woodland Hills at 6344 Topanga Canyon Boulevard? On Friday evening, the guests got an eye full as Britney Spears “had a bizarre breakdown that prompted her husband to storm out.” It didn’t help that Spears was instantly recognized and people “pulled out their phones and started taking pictures of her.” (TMZ)

To make matters worse, we’ve jumped seven spots up compared to last year’s listing. By the way: “While it’s important to be aware of bed bug infestations in hotels, the pests also try to hitchhike taxis, buses, and airplanes.” (Patch)
