GREEN BAY (NBC 26) – The Wisconsin Humane Society’s Green Bay campus has hosted a record number of animals and needs assistance.
The shelter said it took in 160 animals on Thursday, including 52 ball python snakes and 108 rats and mice. With such a large influx of animals with special needs, resources are tight, according to the WHS.
The organization is currently seeking public help in two ways:
1) Donate an item from the WHS Amazon wish list for exotic animals: https://amzn.to/3osMXGL
2) Make a cash donation for emergency medical care and other care needs: https://bit.ly/2KS8HxZ
None of these animals are currently available for adoption based on the ongoing investigation, says WHS. The law enforcement agency’s seizure was due to a violation of the regulation. According to the Wisconsin Humane Society, animals are transported to the Racine, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Door County, and Green Bay locations.
