NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A man from northern New Mexico was convicted of killing four people, including three members of his own family. “My mother came running from my father and got Brendon and asked Damian why he did it – what was the matter with him?” said Damian Herera’s younger sister during the trial.
She related the horror at the family home in Rio Arriba County in 2017. Herrera first shot his stepfather Max Trujillo and then aimed the gun at his brother Brendon. Then Herrera killed his mother. Hours later, he shot Manuel Serrano at a gas station in Abiquiu.
