The Genesee County Master Gardeners are holding a book sale November 21-23. The sale of gently used gardening books will take place in the boardroom of the CCE office at 420 East Main St, Batavia. Opening hours for book sales are November 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We have a variety of carefully used gardening books on a variety of subjects including house plants, container gardens, perennials, herbs, vegetables, trees, shrubs, general gardening, ponds, wildflowers, garden crafts, garden decoration and the history of gardening. You might even find some old gardening books.
Please bring your own bags to take home your treasures. Stock up on winter reading or search for great gifts for the gardener on your list.
The master gardeners are also collecting NEW unboxed books for the Toys for Tots literacy program. Consider donating a new book for preschoolers through 18. Books can be handed in until December 5th. Books improve a child’s ability to read and communicate effectively. The gift of a new book gives children in need a message of hope and gives them confidence.
The Genesee County Master Gardeners thank you in advance for your support.
