Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 is now live and it seems like a vicious circle where fixing bugs can lead to new ones too. The Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit is full of discoveries of bugs that appeared after the last patch. The 1.2 patch appears to have a net positive result in terms of optimization, especially on consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Despite typos and improvements, elements like automated police spawns and stuck cars appear to have some new bugs that weren’t in the game before the patch.

Still the most popular source for all that cyberpunk has to offer, the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit has a number of videos highlighting some fun new bugs that emerged after the patch.

There have been some common bugs since the patch. One of them is a dynamic weather bug that gives some players a permanent sandstorm.

YES NO

Another bug seems to be that vehicles behave erratically, although this could be due to the numerous changes to Cyberpunk 2077’s driving that were added in the latest patch.

Another common problem seems to be some serious clipping issues, either on cars, clothes, or walls. It’s unclear if this is the same issue that causes weapons to appear invisible to multiple players.

The subreddit has a rundown of some other silly ones that have popped up since the patch, including one that projects a motorcycle’s on-board gauges onto a billboard. Personally, I think that’s actually cool.

But aside from the new bugs, there is a mix of some solid improvements with the new patch. V is now sleeping properly in his bed instead of crashing on the mattress like a college kid after one too many night owls. V won’t shower with her clothes on either, which I won’t share here.

Aside from these fixes for notorious typos, the 1.2 patch also appears to be focused on optimization, especially on consoles. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro players seem to see some additional benefits after the patch. Although the last generation base consoles don’t seem to have any improvements and may perform worse after the patch.
