Barberton Excessive to go distant for two days attributable to mattress bug issues

From what it calls an “excess of caution,” Barberton High School is switching to distance learning on Wednesdays and Thursdays so exterminators can look for bed bugs.

According to a Facebook post from Barberton City Schools, the district received many calls Tuesday about bed bugs at Barberton High School.

“Although we have no reports of students getting bed bugs in their homes as a result of attending BHS, we would like to reassure everyone. Out of caution, we have asked exterminators to come up.” tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9am again school building to carry out another inspection and treatment of the entire building, “wrote the district in its contribution.

Barberton High School will switch to a distance learning schedule for both Wednesday September 1 and Thursday September 2. This only applies to high school. All other buildings and buses run as usual.

Normal face-to-face classes will resume on Friday at Barberton High School.

“We know how to do distance learning so let’s do our best for the next 2 days,” added the district.
