Baddour is currently being treated at the MetroHealth Medical Center.
Faouzi Eaddoui is Baddour’s ex-husband and they remain friends. Faouzi Eaddoui even looks after the garden behind Badour’s house on Marietta Avenue, and it was heartbreaking when she heard she was shot.
“For them, picking weeds from their front yard and getting shot by flying bullets, what can you do, there is responsibility somewhere,” said Eaddoui.
A longtime community activist in the Eaddoui neighborhood said the responsibility rests with parents, the community and government leaders to find a way to end the violence.
“Something like gotta stop, the community can’t hold out day after day with kids who have guns,” he said.
Cleveland Police said Baddour and three other victims were shot dead shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday in the 9800 block on Marietta Avenue.
According to witnesses, a group was playing basketball in the street when a car pulled up and started shooting and the basketball players shot back.
A 19-year-old man was shot dead in the street and two people in the car, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old, were also shot.
Their names and terms have not been published.
There are no arrests and Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County is offering a $ 5,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of those involved in the shooting.
