Furry wrestlers show up
Ly Faber recently had some company on his farm on Westside Road.
A trio of furry friends worked on a youthful energy that struggled with one another – as teenagers of all kinds do.
“They played on one of the paddocks while I was drinking,” says Faber of the entertaining marmots.
Faber said the critters he calls “ground squirrels” are only a few inches long.
Faber operates the Fitjamyri Island Horse Farm on his property on Six Mile Creek Road.
“At Fitjamyri we have been breeding and selling Icelandic horses for over 45 years, developing our bloodlines and producing very high quality horses. In fact, we are the only farm in Canada whose horses from our lines have received first prize in an internationally recognized FEIF rating, and our horses have done so seven times, ”a statement said on its website.
