An Air India plane bound for London was switched to Business Class on Monday before take-off from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi following a complaint about insects.
According to Air India, the aircraft was in the passenger bay at the time of the complaint. The complaint was checked, the aircraft was changed and the flight took off.
Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the son and heir to the throne of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan, was on board flight AI-111, among others.

In July, an Air India Express flight en route to Saudi Arabia made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on Saturday morning after a crack in the windshield.
The precautionary landing took place after about an hour’s flight.
The flight had no passengers and only carried cargo and crew members. The flight was en route and was scheduled for flight operations from Dammam to Thiruvananthapuram.
After the incident, another aircraft was deployed and another crew was deployed for scheduled flight operations.
In May, an Air India flight to Newark, USA, returned to Delhi after a bat was spotted on the plane. This was the case about 30 minutes after it started.
The plane landed safely and wildlife personnel were called in to capture and remove the bat’s carcass, Air India officials told the ANI at the time. The bat was found dead in the business class area of the plane.
