Jaguars’ TIAA Bank Field Cited For 129 Violations After Dead Rodents Were Found In Concession Stands

TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, was subpoenaed for more than 100 concession violations following an inspection at the stadium during the team’s Nov. 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Action News Jax’s Ben Becker.

Over 20 concession stands were inspected and auditors found 129 violations, including seven concession stands operating under expired licenses. Investigators also found two dead rodents and 159 rodent droppings.

Delaware North, which operates the concessions at TIAA Bank Field, said in a statement to Becker:

“Delaware North follows the highest standards in food service and has strict policies in place to ensure compliance with all applicable food safety standards and regulations.

A team of health inspectors spent the day November 6 inspecting foodservice locations during a live event attended by more than 62,000 fans. Our managers worked closely with the health inspectors during the visit and most of the violations found were corrected immediately or within 24 hours.

In addition, we are working to fix the typo that caused the licenses for two of our concession stands to expire. The other sites listed in the report as defunct sites were not operational at the time of the inspection.”

TIAA Bank Field’s management company, ASM Global, also released a statement that it is working with Delaware North and pest control company Terminix to “promptly correct any violations.”

“The health and safety of guests at all of our venues remains our top priority. Any lack of commitment to these standards is unacceptable,” ASM Global said in a statement.

The Jaguars are in their bye week but will be back in action on November 27 at TIAA Bank Field against the Baltimore Ravens. After that, the Jags will host two more games in Jacksonville this season.
