Rate My Takeaway’s Danny Malin wore out the M62 driving to and from his home in Leeds back to Hull.
This time, the north’s most famous takeaway reviewer walked to the end of the freeway to try Korean-inspired street food from Nang Chicken on Anlaby Road.
With his signature folding table, Danny sits down on the sidewalk to sample meaty bao buns, braised beef, and spicy noodles.

Unfortunately, an insect, fly, or possibly wasp has the same idea.
And the cheeky insect surprises Danny.
“Damn king flies.
“Oi, come on, buddy,” he yells at the six-legged, winged thief before locking it and looking to the left to drive away the plague beetle.

As soon as it’s gone, Danny will be back in his happy place.
He raves about the Bao rolls: “Soaked with sauce, nice fresh salad …
“Look at the thigh meat … look how soft and tender it is. It’s a beauty. “
About the braised beef, he says: “It’s delicious … The beef is nicely braised and cooked [sic]. “
And of the spicy noodles, he says: “That’s very nice, that. It’s a nice seasoning, it’s a nice noodle.”

Though a small box of chopped onions amazes him.
“Smells like sweaty feet,” puzzles Danny, “If I’m honest, I’m not sure what that is.”
Overall, Danny rates it a mark under the full 10.
He concludes: “Nice food. Value for money. It’ll be nice, solid nine” [out of 10] from me.”
