The Michigan garage forecourt appears to be completely covered in masses of flying bugs that cover almost every inch of the space.

The video poster claimed it was “impossible” to pump gas.

The filmmaker pans the forecourt of the gas station before entering the gas station itself and showing the millions of beetles that plastered the outside of the door on their way.

It quickly becomes clear that the inside of the shop is anything but a refuge from the flood of insects.

Inside, they crawl around on the floor, stick to customers’ clothes and buzz through the air.

As the filmmaker goes outside, the extent of the infestation becomes more apparent.

The pumps are covered in a layer of buzzing, swarming insects, while hordes of them fly around the fluorescent lamps above the gasoline.

The scenes are almost apocalyptic, when a small child in a cloud of bedbugs flaps its arms around while others cover the ground it is standing on.

Loud popping noises like thunder can be heard in the background.

“I’ve never seen so many bugs in my life! Couldn’t even pump gas,” said the TikToker in the caption.

The video had received more than six million views and thousands of comments.

“Somebody is sending this to Stephen King. Book next fall, ”someone joked.

“How do these people go around like nothing’s wrong?” Asked another.

“I wouldn’t even leave my house.”

Many were horrified, one person commented “Absolutely NOT !!!!”

People suspected that the flying insects might be fish flies (also known as mayflies), living things that are widespread in the state of Michigan in the United States.
