The Grounded team has been short since the holidays, but now they return with new news about the future of Obsidian Entertainment’s charming and addicting open-world survival game. The first update to Grounded since the December content update is coming soon, and the likely additions have been teased by Obsidian for ages. The January content update for Grounded will be added to the public test ring early next week and will give dedicated Grounded players the opportunity to jump into the new features before Grounded has early access.
It seems most of you would like all three flying insects from yesterday’s poll to be added. So how about we add them and more items AND reopen the public test servers early next week so you can help us test them before the official release? sounds good? https: //t.co/FHc40cADC6 pic.twitter.com/qlgz1mdJ1e

We already have a good idea what the update will contain. Grounded ran a poll on Twitter asking participants which of the three flying insects to add to Grounded, with a fourth option for “All of the above!” Of course, grounded players came in droves to request all three flying insects, and Obsidian Entertainment signed them.

Bees, mosquitoes, and fireflies should show up in the next Grounded update, adding tons of new features and mechanics for players to watch out for. There should be many other tweaks, enhancements, and other additions as well. We’ll have to wait to see these, however.
