DOVER, Del. – The state Senate voted unanimously to pass legislation banning Delaware landlords from renting units with known or suspected bed bug infestations.
The bill, approved Tuesday, also requires landlords to notify prospective renters if one or more adjacent units are bed bug infested or treated.
In addition, landlords must promptly respond to complaints of actual or suspected bed bug infestations and take remedial action where necessary.
