A TikTok video showing a huge swarm of bugs in an Alabama received more than 5 million views.
Ty Leo filmed the video at Weiss Mart Marina in Cedar Bluff in the northeastern state. The short clip shows millions of mayflies covering the door, grounds and windows of the store. A man and a child run over the beetles.

Mayflies are a common summer location around Alabama Lakes, including Weiss Lake. The flying insects are known for their extremely short lifespan – they live less than 48 hours – and their ability to multiply quickly.
