Al Shamal Township, represented by the Department of Public Hygiene of the Department of Services, carried out a comprehensive control campaign for insects and rodents within its administrative boundaries in April. The inspections took place at the Hofmarkt, the Hafenmarkt, the Fischmarkt, in sewer shafts, in garbage containers, at the garbage disposal and when unloading vehicles. During the controls, special insecticides, pesticides for containers and sanitary shafts (powder) were used.
The department responded to 162 pest and rodent control inquiries and 57 manhole disposal inquiries in April. These also offer a range of containers for commercial facilities and residential complexes. Up to 2,679,660 transfers have been made to collect wastewater at community boundaries.
