TULSA, Oklahoma – When an elderly Tulsa woman discovered that pests could be feeding on her home, she called for help from the 2 News Oklahoma Problem Solvers fearful that their long-term warranty would be worthless.

Returning home one day in April, Marcia Judy may never be forgotten.
“When we saw the crush it was incredible and shocking,” she said for the first time last month.
Inside, a school of termites greeted them. And those were the living ones. The dead were all over the carpet in almost every room.
“I had no idea at the time that they were digging into my house, when it happened I was devastated,” says Marcia.
Thank goodness, thought Marcia and her family, her late husband had signed a contract with Terminix more than a quarter of a century ago, was on time, and had four inspections a year. This would eliminate this termite infestation and possible damage, at least that’s what the contract says.
“We got people out of Terminix right away to see the crush we left all over the carpet and they went under the house and the inspection found obvious damage.”
But after this inspection, Marcia said there had been radio silence for several weeks. Follow-up calls went unanswered. And when they called the local office, Marcia said there wasn’t even a record of the damage on her account.
So the family contacted the 2 News Oklahoma Problem Solvers, and we contacted the base with Terminix, and it wasn’t long before the crews got rid of the termites and repaired the damage.
“It’s brand new, except for the tunnels, brand new,” Marcia told us after the work was done.
First, Terminix said: “… there were gaps in communication … and a slight delay in submitting customer information to our claims management partner …”
And now that the repairs are done, Terminix said: “… we were so happy to be able to help our long-time customer and her family in their need. Termites can cause significant damage in homes, but with a termite contract from Terminix, ours Customers can be sure that their homes are protected … “
Marcia said: “We were very happy, they were very efficient and fixed the problem. They showed me the damage and what they replaced, they were very good.”
Marcia said she and the family were relieved that the termites were no longer gnawing at their home.
